#ILoveRedDots I gained even MORE respect for our military snipers by training at Front Sight. @Trijicon

8 shots to make 5 hits…thanks in part to my Trijicon MRO!

We just got back from back-to-back 4-day classes (Practical Rifle and Defensive Handgun) at Front Sight, in Nevada.

This distance is NOTHING for a sniper, so, my hat’s off to all y’all. (I had no idea how small a target could look until I stood peering at them from the 200 yard firing line.)

  1. Nice!
Have you ever been to an Appleseed event? Appleseed starts with shooting at scaled-down targets at 25m, scaled down that is to the size they would appear out to 100-200-300-400 yards.
But there are also “known-distance” Appleseeds where you can shoot the same course of fire at actual distance, to 400 yards and beyond.
I know what you mean about how small things look even at 200 m, but it is totally doable if you have the fundamentals of shooting down, even with iron sights. My older eyes need some magnification now to see the 300m and out targets, but the fundamentals of shooting are still there!

Check out an Appleseed if you haven’t already- the shooting’s great and the event is actually about Liberty!
